Our “New Normal” What To Expect During Your Visit

Here at a New Beginning, we have updated protocols, guidelines and procedures in place to support the health and safety of our employees, guests, and community. We want to share with you everything you can expect to experience during your next visit with us.

Our new protocols are as follows:
  • Everyone will be required to wear a protective mask while in the building
  • All employees are required to wear face shields.
  • Please refrain from bringing additional guests to your appointment.
  • Bring only essential items inside (keys, phone, payment method).
  • If you are exhibiting any symptoms, please reschedule your appointment.
  • Social distancing of 6’+ must be practiced by all employees and guests.
  • Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and sanitize regularly.
  • If you need retail products, ask your service provider for assistance.
  • Blow drying and hand relief treatments will be paused until further notice.
  • Verbal communication should be minimized during services.

Daily salon hours have been expanded.

This will allow us to follow social distancing guidelines and additionally limit the number of service providers and guests present in the salon at any given time.

Checking In!

Upon arrival at ANB, we ask you to please

text your full name to 203-701-6898,

and remain in your car until we call or text you to enter the building.

To ensure proper health and safety guidelines are being met, we will be using a digital thermometer to take the temperature of every employee and guest as they enter the building. If a guest’s temperature exceeds 99F, we will reschedule their appointment.

There will be a sanitization station outside if the weather permits, or right by the door as you walk in. Here you will be able to disinfect your essential items (keys, phone, payment method) before entering.

We encourage guests to also use our experience sink inside of the salon to thoroughly wash their hands for at least 20 seconds.

In order to keep our employees, guests, and community safe, you will receive a short online touch-less waiver that should be signed prior to appointment.

About Your Service!

Your shampoo experience will be adjusted. The performance of hand treatments will be halted until further notice. Scalp massage will be minimal. You will still get to experience the wonderful warm towel!

“Nexcare” tape will be kept at each station to ensure that guest’s masks remain in place during services.

Shampoo bowls and chairs will be cleaned and disinfected immediately after each use.

All guests will be provided a freshly laundered cape.

Stations will be sanitized between each guest. Stylists will remain with their guest for the entire service (where possible) to limit additional physical contact.

Some Things To Note:

At this time we will not be blow drying hair. We will be reassessing our service options as business resumes.

Brazilian blowouts, and keratin treatments will also be paused until further notice.

Our Botanical Hair Therapy treatment will be offered for a limited time for just $10 (savings of $15). 

There will be a $50 charge fee for no-show appointments. Please communicate with us beforehand if you are not feeling well and we will reschedule your appointment.

As you need any AVEDA or Home Care Products, our team will gladly grab the necessary items for purchase, and bring them to the front desk for checkout.

We encourage guests to put a credit card on file beforehand, to allow for a safe and contact-less checkout.
