Aftercare
The first three days are extremely important after this treatment. Your hair must remain dry for the next 72 hours. When you shower, make sure you use a shower cap. Pause activities like working out, swimming, saunas, baths, hot tubs and steam showers.
Avoid wearing hair clips, ponytails, braids, hats, or sunglasses as these will form creases in your hair. Resist the urge to tuck your hair behind your ears and at night, sleep with your hair loose.
After this treatment, you should be using a shampoo and conditioner that is free of sulfates and sodium. The Aveda products listed above are great options to ensure your Keratin Treatment lasts!

Aftercare
Compared to the Keratin Treatment, there aren’t any restrictions as to what you can and can’t do after your service, however the right aftercare and maintenance is needed to ensure that your hair continues to look good for as long as possible.
To extend the life of your Brazilian Blowout, try washing your hair no more than 2-3 times per week. Use the Botanical Repair hair masque to keep your hair healthy-looking and silky. If you are blow-drying your hair after your shower, be sure to use one of our Aveda heat protectant products.
